The Kellogg Company revealed a possible contamination of Listeria in their popular waffles and because of that has recalled 10,000 Eggo Nutri-Grain Whole Wheat Waffles in 25 states earlier today . As of right now, there has not been any reports of illness brought to their attention, according to http://time.com/. Listeria was first discovered during a routine test that was taking place. In a statement released by a Spoke-person of the Kellogg Company, revealed that “Listeria monocytogenes can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children, frail or elderly people, and others with weakened immune systems,” according to http://time.com/. This is the second time that Kellogg has faced with this issue, it was noted by CNN, that the FDA had found this bacteria at an Atlanta plant in 2009. Don’t worry guys, none of their other products are believed to have been contaminated.
