SERENA AND VENUS’ FATHER WILL BE INDUCTED INTO THE AMERICAN TENNIS HALL OF FAME

You can’t think of tennis, without the the names of Serena and Venus Williams coming to mind.

Their father Richard Williams will be inducted into the American Tennis Hall of Fame in Florida for his pivotal role in nurturing their careers.

From Compton to legendary tennis superstars,he had coached them early on, helping them develop the skills that’s helped them dominate the women’s tennis field for nearly 2 decades.

Both of them , according to the Shaderoom, have been ranked at the world No. 1 position in singles and doubles and have won 14 Grand Slam titles together as doubles partners.

The same source cited that ATA is the oldest African-American sports organization in the U.S. It was created 100 years ago in response to the barring of African-American tennis players by the U.S. Lawn Tennis Association.
