Getting into just one IVY League school is a dream most high seniors have growing up; this one teen recently got accepted into all of them.
Ifeoma White-Thorpe, a senior and  president of her student government club at Morris Hills High School in Rockaway, expressed that she was taken aback and started shaking when she received the eighth acceptance letter.
“I was like, oh my gosh, oh my gosh, like this might be eight out of eight and I clicked it and it said ‘Congratulations’ and I was like oh my goodness!” White-Thorpe told CNN affiliate WABC-TV.
While most seniors have to worry about to wear to prom, this NJ native, on the otherhand, has to decide which out of the 8 schools, Harvard, Yale, Cornell, Columbia, the University of Pennsylvania, Princeton, Dartmouth and Brown. she wants to attend in the fall.
While she’s not certain about that, what is certain is that she knows that all of the schools she applied to has  “great research facilities,” which is important for this future biology major who plans on pursuing a career in global health.
Getting into all 8 IVY League schools is no small feat, White-Thorpe is one of the very few students that’s been accepted into all 8 institutions within the past few years.
According to CNN, Augusta Uwamanzu-Nna and Kelly Hyles  were accepted into all 8 last year, Harold Ekeh in 2015 and Kwasi Enin  in 2014.
White-Thrope’s parents stated that they are letting their daughter make the decision on which of the 9 schools (including Stanford) she wants to enroll in.
