Not all inmates are bad, not all are heartless killers, some may be there because of one foolish mistake they committed that forever changed their lives. Two inmates had saved the life of a prison guard after he had collasped in the middle of a conversation he was having with them on June 23rd.

Shocked isn’t even the right word to describe how they felt seeing the guard’s’s body lay lifeless on the guard.

According to People.com, inmate Nick Kelton had told the news station, that the guard had unexpectly fell over without any warning.

It “looked like an act. [He] could have died right there,” he said.

The inmates immediately took action shouting for help to get the attention of the deputies that were upstairs. When they didn’t receive any response, they broke out of their cells and pounded heavily on the door. Thinking the Texas inmates were causing trouble, Parker County Sheriffs’s Sergant Ryan Speegle ran downstairs and saw the inmates standing over the guard.

The thought that the situation could’ve ended badly had crossed his mind especially since the lone guard had his gun and keys on him.

The was the last thing on their inmates’ minds though, their instinct was to help the guard and that’s exactly what they did.

“It never crossed my mind not to help whether he’s got a gun or a badge,” he said. “If he falls down, I’m gonna help him,” meth addict Nick Kelton who’s currently serving his forth sentence said.

The men were escorted back into their cell before the deputies had performed CPR on the guard (who chose to remain anonymus). Soon after, the paramedics had arrived and were able to revive him back to life, with the shock pulse method.

They were relieved to witness the officer ,who they considered as a good man, being brought back to life .

“He could have been there 15 minutes before any other staff walked in and found him,” Kelton said according to People.com.

He and the other inmates are happy knowing that they were able to do the right thing , which goes to show that not all inmates are evil!
